What is preserved
The converter carries over metadata, the cover, chapter order from the spine, NCX or EPUB 3 navigation, footnote links, text formatting, and binary images.
Limitations
EPUB ZIP entries must be unencrypted. Compressed EPUB files use the browser DecompressionStream API; older browsers may require Chrome, Edge, or a current Firefox version.

Why does the table of contents remain usable?
